Johnny Mathis - Misty (Audio) A must listen.
I’ve been very blessed in my life, and one of those many blessings is my second Mom, Jackie. Today is her birthday, and as this amazing woman celebrates her special day, I think I can speak for my brother and sisters by telling her how much we love her.
Of course, being our family's sappy, overly emotional misfit, I want to share a heavenly phone call I received from my Dad last night while I was sleeping.
He said: Son, I miss my wife; without her, it’s lonely here in heaven. I remember how she was always there for me, both in my health and especially my sickness. I remember the good times, and life with my wife was always good. I want you, your brother, John, and your sisters, Debbie and Kim, to always be there for her, and I want my dear love to look at my picture today, and I want her to remember this birthday memory from me.
I want my beloved wife to recall the first time we listened to our song. The words spoke about how I continue to feel about the true love of my life.
Look at me,
I'm as helpless as a kitten up a tree,
I feel like I'm clinging to a cloud and can't understand. I get misty just holding your hand.
Walk my way,
And a thousand violins begin to play. Or it might be the sound of your hello
That music I hear; I get misty the moment you're near.
You can say that you're leading me on.
But it's just what I want you to do.
Don't you notice how hopelessly I'm lost?
That's why I'm following you
On my own
Would I wander through this wonderland alone?
Never knowing my right foot from my left
My hat from my glove
I'm too misty and too much in love
Happy Birthday, my dear wife.
Love Gordy.
